Basic Paper Piecing

Our new friend Sue from Delaware loves to teach beginner quilters! Paper piecing can sometimes be an imitating technique, but Sue will make it fun! The basic block that the class will focus on is the tree. The pattern for the other two blocks featured in this cute Christmas wall hang will also be available.
Supply List:
- Pattern(s) supplied
- Fabric – Scraps/fat quarters/green-red, x-mas
- Cutting Surface – Rotating if possible
- Small Iron & Ironing Surface
- Add-a-Quarter Ruler 6” &/or 12” (available in store)
- Template Plastic – (size, approx. 3” x the length of your Add-a-Quarter Ruler + 1”) (available in store
- Rotary Cutter – Small & Medium size
- Rotary Cutter Ruler – 6”x 12” or larger
- Temporary Glue Stick
- Scissors – Fabric & Paper
- Best Press (available in store)
- Good Quilting Thread
- Sewing Machine in Good Working order – know how to change your stitch length & foot for class
- Machine Foot – ¼” piecing foot & clear or foot that you can see to the needle i.e., #8 Bernina
- New Needles – size 80 or 90 – the one you use with your quilting thread
- Stick Pins/Flower Pins – long skinny pins
- Seam Ripper
- Thread Snips
- Paper & Pencil/Pen
- Trash for snips and fabric scraps (there will be a lot of scraps and l keep them for future projects)
