Rased in Collingswood, NJ, Judy Engime learned the art of quilting at a young age. After becoming a healthcare professional, she uprooted and headed for the Big Sky Country of Montana! There Judy earned both her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Nursing. She also experienced many western based jobs, Lambing, Taxidermy, Fishing guide, and even a Wrangler! She also spent time in Chile and Alaska. Judy eventually enjoyed a successful career as a Family Nurse Practitioner and cherished the breathtaking views from her 20 acre ranch outside Bozeman Mt. Here she became reacquainted with Quilting, eventually starting a small side business with her friend Donna Bristow." All Patched Up" sold original designs delightfully packaged in kit form for sale at home parties. Judy's home was also the venue for weekend quilting gatherings featuring great food and fun times! As difficult as it would seem for Judy to leave Montana, the health of her parents required more of her participation. Ultimately, she returned to New Jersey. While awaiting the transfer of her medical license, she learned that Bernina Dealers were surprisingly far away. Her business sense began to stir. She decided that if she were granted a Bernina Dealership, she would open a quilt shop. In August 2006 Olde City Quilts burst on the scene and became the fastest growing quilt shop in the Delaware Valley.
